Yoga found Yvette in 2002 and haven’t left her since. Always in search of the ‘WHY’ led her on a lifelong pursuit of the many ways to connect, to learn, to express, and to dwell in one’s true nature. She blends playful humour with an authentic inquiry into the nature of being to help her students discover their own power, courage and beauty. She earned her first 200 hour Power Vinyasa Yoga teaching certificate in 2010 from Amazing Yoga (Sean and Karen Conley). Later completed Yin certification with Bernie Clark, another 200 Hour Hatha Yoga certification program with YogaPod (Todd Inoue, Martin Kirk, Noah Maze), and working her way through a two year certification program with iRest Yoga Nidra (Richard Miller). She is very grateful to these and many other teachers along her journey of self discovery. Her passion for teaching both the art and the science of yoga is fuelled in part by her own experience as well as learning from her students. Her adventurous classes encourage moving from your center, overcoming fear, and the courage to love oneself. She wishes for her students to experience their truth in their way – be it vigorous physical practice, philosophical study, Yin, restorative yoga, or meditation.
Yvette is always looking to advance her practice. She is currently teaching all styles at The Yoga Loft (downtown) and at Kamloops Hot Yoga and also gives private lessons at her office at The Happyness Centre.
